Key layouts follow the standard Windows layouts; Japanese, Hindi and pinyin are character pickers, not phonetic input. Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded.
Physical keys are mapped by position (KeyboardEvent.code), so Q types the letter that sits there on the chosen layout. Korean jamo combine into syllables with a 2-set (Dubeolsik) composer; Greek accents are dead keys.
On the Korean keyboard, typing ㅎ ㅏ ㄴ ㄱ ㅡ ㄹ composes 한글; on the Arabic keyboard, the Q key types ض.
