Technische opmerkingen in het Engels
Checks the format and check digits only: it cannot confirm that the account exists or who owns it. Up to 1,000 IBANs at a time. Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded.
Each IBAN must have the length registered for its country (89 countries) and, after the first four characters are moved to the end and letters are turned into numbers (A = 10 … Z = 35), leave a remainder of 1 when divided by 97 (ISO 13616).
DE89 3704 0044 0532 0130 00 is a valid German IBAN; changing the last digit to 1 fails the check-digit test.
