How to use Secret Santa Generator
List the participants, add the pairs who must not draw each other and set the budget and date. Send each private link to its person, or print the slips. Press “New random draw” to draw again.
How it works
The draw is a random permutation with no self-gifts, found by backtracking over a secure random shuffle, so exclusions and the no-swap rule are always respected when a solution exists.
Example
Seven names with “Amina > Ben” excluded give seven pairs: nobody draws themselves, Amina never draws Ben and no two people draw each other.
Questions about Secret Santa Generator
Is Secret Santa Generator free, and do I need an account?
Yes. This tool is free to use in your browser without an account. Processing takes place on your device.
What are the limits and what should I check?
Up to 300 participants. Nothing is e-mailed or stored: you send the links yourself. A link contains its match, so anyone who has it can read it. Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded. Review the result before using it in your work.
Is my input sent to a server?
