How to use Sudoku (Free Online Puzzle)
Choose a level, select a cell and type a digit or use the number pad. Turn on notes for pencil marks; “Hint” fills one cell.
How it works
A full grid is built by randomised backtracking, then digits are removed one by one as long as a solver still finds exactly one solution.
Example
An easy puzzle starts with about 40 given digits, an expert one with about 24.
