Uses for tuning, speaker and hearing checks, physics lessons or finding a rattle. Binaural mode plays two slightly different tones in each ear (use headphones); claims about effects on the brain are not scientifically established.

Tones are synthesised with the Web Audio API; the slider is logarithmic from 20 Hz to 20 kHz; binaural mode sends a slightly different frequency to each ear.
A4 is 440 Hz; one semitone up is 466.16 Hz; “× 2” jumps an octave to 880 Hz.
