Play a pure tone at any frequency from 1 Hz to 22 kHz with sine, square, sawtooth or triangle waves, semitone steps, balance and a binaural mode.
Start quietly: high, loud tones can damage hearing and small speakers.
Uses for tuning, speaker and hearing checks, physics lessons or finding a rattle. Binaural mode plays two slightly different tones in each ear (use headphones); claims about effects on the brain are not scientifically established.

How it works
Tones are synthesised with the Web Audio API; the slider is logarithmic from 20 Hz to 20 kHz; binaural mode sends a slightly different frequency to each ear.
Example
A4 is 440 Hz; one semitone up is 466.16 Hz; “× 2” jumps an octave to 880 Hz.
