Online Diagram Editor.
Draw flowcharts, UML, network, org and ER diagrams by drag and drop with thousands of shapes. Opens and saves .drawio files and exports PNG or SVG, all in your browser.
Built on the open-source draw.io editor (Apache-2.0), served by this site in offline mode: cloud storage, the export server and online icon search are turned off. PasteZap is not affiliated with draw.io AG.
How to use Online Diagram Editor
Drag shapes from the left panel onto the page, connect them with arrows and style them on the right. Use Save .drawio to keep an editable file, or Export PNG / Export SVG for images.
How it works
Uses the open-source draw.io web app (Apache-2.0) version 31.6.1, served by this site in offline mode inside a frame; diagrams are passed to this page and saved as files on your device. The editor interface follows the site language.
Example
Open a .drawio file made elsewhere, change a label and save it again: the file stays compatible with other draw.io-based editors.

Editor ready. The editor menus follow the language of this page. - Click or drag shapes from the left panel onto the page. Hover a shape and drag one of its blue arrows to connect it to another shape. Double-click to type a label.
- Search shapes with the search box (for example router or database); thousands of shapes and icons are included and load from this site.
- Press

Example: open a .drawio file made in another draw.io-based editor, rename a box and save it again. The file stays compatible. Export SVG includes the diagram, so that SVG can be reopened and edited later.
What is turned off and how drafts work
The editor runs in offline mode: cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, GitHub), real-time collaboration, the export server and online icon search are disabled. PDF export uses your browser’s print dialog (choose Save as PDF).
Nothing is kept after you close the page unless you tick Keep a draft in this browser, which stores the diagram in this browser only. For diagrams written as text, try the flowchart maker or the ER diagram maker; for freehand sketches, the online whiteboard.
Questions about Online Diagram Editor
Are my diagrams uploaded?
No. The editor is served by this site and runs in your browser; diagrams are saved as files on your device.
Is this the official draw.io website?
No. It is the open-source draw.io editor (Apache-2.0) hosted by PasteZap in offline mode. PasteZap is not affiliated with draw.io AG.
Can I open Visio or Lucidchart files?
This page opens .drawio, .xml and SVG files that contain a draw.io diagram. The editor menus may offer other imports; results depend on the file, so check the diagram after importing.
Is Online Diagram Editor free, and do I need an account?
Yes. This tool is free to use in your browser without an account. Processing takes place on your device.
What are the limits and what should I check?
Cloud storage, real-time collaboration, the export server and online icon search are turned off, so PDF export goes through the browser print dialog. The first visit downloads about 10 MB. Only SVG files exported with the diagram included can be reopened. Review the result before using it in your work.
Is my input sent to a server?
Your input is processed in your browser and is not uploaded by this tool. Files and pasted text are cleared when the page is refreshed. Normal website requests are still required to load the page and its libraries. Read the privacy explanation.
