Both sizes come from Apple’s iPhone Duo technical specifications. The two screens have almost the same shape (about 7:10 inside and 7:10.2 outside), so one photo can work on both if the subject sits near the middle; the inner screen is a little wider, so it shows slightly more on the sides.
How to make an iPhone Duo wallpaper
