Photo Editor (Layers, PSD).
Edit photos in your browser with layers, selections, brushes, text, shapes, crop, clone stamp and about 40 effects; open and save PSD files with their layers, or export PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP or TIFF.
How to use Photo Editor (Layers, PSD)
Open an image or a PSD (or drop it on the editor), work with the tools on the left and the Layers panel on the right, then use File → Export for an image or File → Save As for a layered PSD or project file.
How it works
The editor is a PasteZap build of miniPaint 4.14.3 (MIT) that runs entirely in your browser; PSD files are read and written with ag-psd (MIT). Image search, URL import and Google Fonts were removed, so your files and the page never contact another service.
Example
A PSD with a background and a 50 % “multiply” shadow layer opens with both layers, their names, positions, opacity and blend mode; Save As → PSD writes them back as separate layers.
Edit a photo with layers
- Open an image or a PSD with File → Open, or drop the file on the editor. Several images open as separate layers.
- Pick a tool on the left: selection, brush, pencil, eraser, magic eraser, fill, gradient, text, shapes, crop, clone stamp, blur, sharpen or bulge/pinch.
- Use the Layers panel on the right to add, hide, reorder, rename, merge or change the opacity and blend mode of each layer.
- Apply adjustments from the Image and Effects menus: brightness, contrast, hue, auto colours, Gaussian blur, sepia, Instagram-style filters, vignette, tilt-shift and more.
- Save with File → Export for a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP or TIFF image, or File → Save As for a layered PSD or a JSON project.
Open and save PSD files
PSD files open with each pixel layer, its name, position, opacity, visibility and blend mode. Layers inside groups are named after their group, for example “Group / Layer”.
- Supported: 8-bit RGB or grayscale PSD files up to 100 megapixels in total.
- Text layers and smart objects open as pixels; adjustment layers and layer styles are not kept, and a message lists what was skipped.
- Save As → PSD writes every layer as a pixel layer. Text, shape and rotated layers are converted to pixels, and parts of a layer outside the canvas are cut off.
- CMYK and 16-bit files are refused with a message instead of opening with wrong colours.
Privacy and limits
- The editor runs entirely in your browser; images and PSD files are not uploaded.
- Quick Save keeps one project in this browser’s storage (up to 5 MB); use Save As for anything important.
- Menus follow the page language, but translations are not reviewed by native speakers and some messages stay in English.
- For quick single jobs, the Image Compressor and the Background Remover are faster.
