How to use Parquet Viewer & Converter
Drop a .parquet file. Read the schema and statistics, move through the rows page by page, press Query with SQL to analyse them, or export CSV or JSON.
How it works
Parquet is read with hyparquet (MIT) and its decompressors in your browser; rows are loaded into SQLite (sql.js) only when you choose to query them.
Example
The schema lists each column with its type and whether it can be empty; rows appear 100 per page, and Export CSV writes up to 500,000 rows with a header line.

Export CSVorExport JSONto convert the file, orQuery with SQLto analyse it.
Parquet files compressed with Snappy, Gzip, Brotli, Zstd or LZ4 are supported. Nested columns are shown as JSON text, and integers too large for JavaScript numbers are kept as text so they stay exact.
Convert and query
Export and SQL use the first 500,000 rows at most. Query with SQL loads those rows into an in-memory SQLite table named after the file, so you can filter, group and sort them with the same editor as the SQL Query on CSV & JSON Files tool.
Files up to 300 MB can be opened. To inspect the CSV you exported, open it in the CSV Viewer & Editor.
Questions about Parquet Viewer & Converter
Is my Parquet file uploaded?
No. It is read with hyparquet in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
How do I convert Parquet to CSV?
Open the file and press Export CSV. The CSV has a header line and up to 500,000 rows.
Why are some numbers shown as text?
Parquet INT64 values larger than 9,007,199,254,740,991 cannot be stored exactly as JavaScript numbers, so they are kept as text.
Is Parquet Viewer & Converter free, and do I need an account?
Yes. This tool is free to use in your browser without an account. Processing takes place on your device.
What are the limits and what should I check?
Files up to 300 MB; export and SQL use the first 500,000 rows. Snappy, Gzip, Brotli, Zstd and LZ4 compression are supported. Nested columns are shown as JSON text. Review the result before using it in your work.
Is my input sent to a server?
Your input is processed in your browser and is not uploaded by this tool. Files and pasted text are cleared when the page is refreshed. Normal website requests are still required to load the page and its libraries. Read the privacy explanation.
