PDF to Excel.
Convert PDF tables to an editable Excel workbook. Rows, columns and numbers are rebuilt locally from the PDF text, with a live preview.
20 MiB · 200 source pages · up to 100 pages per conversion · processed in your browser, never uploaded. Rows and columns are rebuilt from the position of the PDF's embedded text, one sheet per page.
How to use PDF to Excel
Choose a PDF, select pages and the number format, then extract. Check the table preview, adjust column detection if needed and download the XLSX workbook or a CSV of one page.
How it works
Text positions are read with pdf.js in your browser. Lines become rows, and columns are found from the gaps shared by multi-cell lines, so right-aligned numbers and multi-word labels stay in their columns. Pages are oriented by their dominant text direction, which also handles sideways landscape tables. Numbers such as 1,234.56, 1.234,56, (45) and 12.5% can be converted to real numeric cells; cells that start with formula characters are stored as text. Always compare totals with the original.
Example
Turn a bank statement or a sales report PDF into a spreadsheet with one sheet per page.
Questions about PDF to Excel
Is PDF to Excel free, and do I need an account?
Yes. This tool is free to use in your browser without an account. Processing takes place on your device.
