Tables
| Table | Size now | Size at horizon | Rows at horizon |
|---|---|---|---|
| customers | 169 MB | 298.79 MB | 442,000 |
| orders | 624 MB | 1.37 GB | 2,640,000 |
| order_items | 1.09 GB | 2.4 GB | 8,800,000 |

- Measure real sizes when possible: PostgreSQL pg_total_relation_size(), MySQL information_schema.TABLES (data_length + index_length), SQL Server sp_spaceused.
- Add room for write-ahead logs, temporary files, backups and maintenance (VACUUM, index rebuilds) on the same volume.

Note tecniche in inglese
An estimate; real size depends on engine, types, fill factor and compression. Write-ahead logs and backups are not included. Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing is sent or probed on the network.
Size = rows × (row + index bytes) × (1 + overhead), now and at the horizon; disk adds the free-space reserve and multiplies by the number of copies.
Four tables with 55 million rows today grow to about 57 GB in 24 months, 148 GB of disk for two copies with reserve.
