Technische opmerkingen in het Engels
Needs a microphone and a quiet room. Very low notes (below about 30 Hz) are not detected. The sound is analysed live and never recorded or uploaded.
Pitch is found with the YIN algorithm on 4,096-sample frames with a median of recent readings; on test tones it is accurate to under 1 cent from 31 Hz to 1.3 kHz. 100 cents make a semitone.
With A4 = 440 Hz, a string sounding 445 Hz reads A4 +20 cents (too high), and the open low E of a guitar should read 82.41 Hz.
