PSD to PNG Converter.
Open Photoshop PSD files without Photoshop and save the flattened image as PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF, with transparency kept in PNG, WebP and AVIF.
Drop images here, paste with Ctrl+V, or
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, AVIF, JPEG XL, HEIC, TIFF, PSD · up to 50 images, 50 MB each · nothing is uploaded
Re-saving removes EXIF data such as GPS position and camera details. Photos: JPG, WebP or AVIF. Logos, screenshots and graphics: PNG with reduced colours or WebP. AVIF, JPEG XL, MozJPEG and OxiPNG use open-source Squoosh codecs running on your device (first use downloads up to 3.5 MB once).
How to use PSD to PNG Converter
Add your PSD files, keep PNG or choose another format and press Convert images. Download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
How it works
PSD and PSB files are decoded by ImageMagick compiled to WebAssembly in a background worker, on your device. PNG output is optimized losslessly; JPG uses MozJPEG; AVIF and JPEG XL use open-source codecs.
Example
A layered PSD saved with “Maximize compatibility” becomes a lossless PNG of the visible composite; choose JPG for a smaller file on a white background.
Convert a PSD file to PNG
- Drop your PSD or PSB files on the page, or press
Choose images. - Keep PNG to preserve transparency without quality loss, or choose JPG, WebP or AVIF for a smaller file.
- Press
Convert images, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
You do not need Photoshop or an account. The decoder (ImageMagick compiled to WebAssembly, about 15 MB) downloads once on first use, and your designs are read in your browser without being uploaded.
What you get from a layered PSD
A PSD stores the layers and, in most cases, a flattened copy of the whole design. The converter saves that flattened copy, so the result looks like the visible image in Photoshop. Layers are not separated and text stays as pixels.
Photoshop writes the flattened copy when “Maximize compatibility” is on, which is the default. If a file was saved without it, the result may show only part of the design: open it in Photoshop or another editor and save it again with that option. To cut a subject out of the result, use the Background Remover.
Questions about PSD to PNG Converter
Is the transparency kept?
Yes in PNG, WebP and AVIF. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose.
Can I export each layer separately?
No. The tool exports the flattened design stored in the file. Use an image editor to export individual layers.
Are my PSD files uploaded?
No. Decoding runs in a background worker in your browser and the files stay on your device.
Is PSD to PNG Converter free, and do I need an account?
Yes. This tool is free to use in your browser without an account. Processing takes place on your device.
What are the limits and what should I check?
Uses the flattened composite stored in the PSD: layers are not separated or edited. Files saved without “Maximize compatibility” may show only part of the design. Up to 50 MB and 50 megapixels each; the ImageMagick decoder (about 15 MB) downloads once. Review image dimensions, transparency and quality before downloading.
