How to use Social Media Character Counter
Paste or type your post. The table shows used and remaining characters for each platform, with words, hashtags, mentions and emoji.
How it works
X uses weighted counting: links count 23, emoji and CJK characters count 2. Bluesky and Threads count graphemes. SMS parts use GSM-7 (160/153) or Unicode (70/67).
Example
A 141-character post with a link and an emoji counts 145 on X and fits every platform.
