How to use Coffee Ratio Calculator
Choose the brew method (it sets a usual ratio), adjust the ratio if you like, then enter cups, water or coffee.
How it works
Coffee = water ÷ ratio. Grounds keep about twice their weight in water, so a little less coffee ends up in the cup. Espresso ratios compare the dose with the drink’s weight.
Example
Two 250 ml cups of pour-over at 1:16 need 31.3 g of ground coffee for 500 ml of water, about 6 level tablespoons.
