How to use Recipe Scaler
Paste the ingredients one per line, then choose servings, a multiplier or pan sizes. Quantities at the start of each line are scaled; the rest of the line is kept.
How it works
Amounts such as 1 1/2, 1½, 3/4, 2.5, 200g and ranges like 2-3 are read. Cups and spoons are rounded to the nearest eighth (or third); grams and millilitres to sensible steps. Pan scaling uses the ratio of the pan areas.
Example
Scaling a 24-cookie recipe to 36 turns 2 1/4 cups of flour into 3⅜ cups and 3/4 cup of sugar into 1⅛ cups.
