Positions follow a US physical layout, so printed letters on your keyboard can differ. Fn, Windows/Command, Print Screen and media keys may be handled by the operating system and never reach the browser.
How to use Keyboard Test
Click the keyboard area, then press each key. Keys turn green once detected; hold several keys at once to check how many your keyboard reports simultaneously. Press Esc three times in a row to release the keyboard.
How it works
The page reads KeyboardEvent.code to identify physical key positions independently of your language layout, and shows the key, code and location of the last key. Nothing you type is stored or sent.
Example
Holding A, S, D and F together should show 4 keys held; a lower number suggests a ghosting or rollover limit.
